About me!

Hi, I’m Christy. I have a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and a master’s in Public Health and Healthcare Administration. I am passionate about helping people learn to advocate for their health needs and navigate the complicated world of modern healthcare.

During college, I developed several chronic illnesses that completely changed my life and perspective. Through years of navigating doctors, hospitals, and insurance systems, I have learned firsthand what it means to be both a patient and an advocate. Those experiences inspired me to create this space to share what I have learned and hopefully make the journey a little easier for someone else.

When I am not writing about health and advocacy, you can usually find me behind the camera for my Instagram page, Tail of Two Oranges, where my two orange cats, Chester and Clementine, share their adventures and keep life a little lighter.
